Saved by grace alone

Adeze Ojukwu

Grace is generally described as unmerited favour. This favour is what God offers, so generously and divinely.

This uncommon love is amply personified, in Jesus Christ, by his death to pay the debt for humanity’s salvation.

Those who chosen this path, understand the spiritual ethos of receiving such mercy and forgiveness from sin and Satan’s hell.

However the choice of receiving and enjoying grace, is a personal decision by every individual. But here is the good news. The Holy Spirit, is constantly prodding and encouraging people to come to Jesus, as the way, the truth and the life.

No one can make this decision without heaven’s promptings. Therefore this bible exposition, presents another opportunity to surrender to Jesus. May the Holy Spirit, strengthen you to accept this inexplicable truth of God’s love, mercy and grace in Christ Jesus.

The verses below, were selected for further understanding of this teaching.

Ephesians 2:8

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,

9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.

10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

God chose you

John 15: 16 You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.

You are blessed with all spiritual blessing

Ephesians 1:3

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.

Prayer for Spiritual Wisdom

15 Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints,

16 do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers:

17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him,

18 the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,
22 And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church,

Conclusion

The above verses are reminders of God’s grace and love in choosing and blessing all who believe. Pride has no place then, in the life of the believer, because this divine selection and ordination are all from God.

The last section emphasizes the need to continue in prayer for wisdom, favour, understanding and righteousness, in order to overcome the devices of the enemy.

May the reading of his holy word give you peace, comfort and courage to run the race set before you and to finish  strong.

Shalom
