Nigeria, yesterday, recorded 148 COVID-19 cases, with no deaths.
Nigeria Center for Disease Control(NCDC) stated this in its official twitter handle on Friday.
The agency said new confirmed cases were reported in 14 states including the Federal Capital Territory(FCT).
‘Till date, 60982 cases have been confirmed while 52194 persons have been discharged.’
Meanwhile ‘1116 deaths have, so far been recorded in 36 states and FCT,’ since the emergence of the infection in the country.
Lagos had the highest number with 66, followed by FCT at 25, while Oyo, Plateau and Kaduna witnessed 13, 11 and seven incidences respectively.
Rivers and Ebonyi had six and five cases each, while Ekiti and Ogun tied at four.
Imo and Ondo reported two cases each.
Edo, Nasarawa and Taraba confirmed one case each.
‘A multi-sectoral national Emergency Operations Centre (EOC), activated at Level 3, continues to coordinate the national response activities,’ it added.
